1. The Governing Council ensures the effective and efficient performance of the functions of the Institute;
2. The Governing Council formulates policies and determines strategies for the achievement of the objects of the Institute; and
3. The Governing Council determines and manages the effective and efficient use of the funds and assets of the Institute
The Chartered Institute of Credit Management, Ghana, was established by the Professional Bodies Act, 1973 (Act 143).
